13 Weeks
13 weeks! Right now the baby weighs around 14 to 20 grams and is 2.6 to 3.1 inches (or around the size of a peach!) The vocal cords are starting to formand it can SMILE! I can't wait to see baby O's smile!
I continue to feel better, although I am still exhausted every minute of the day! No really weird food cravings yet, but I can't seem to get enough perogies and bread and butter pickles (not together!) You know... now that I think about it, I could really eat a whole jar of dilly beans right now... mmm... diiilllyyy beeeaaans!
The weepy hormones are definitely starting to kick in and for the next 6 months I should not be allowed to watch the Lifetime Channel. Seriously, even the commercials are making me weepy! Ahhhh, the joys of pregnancy ;-)

We finally got to HEAR the heartbeat, which was the most amazing experience of my life thus far! It was a healthy 160!

12 Weeks
12 weeks today! We have an appointment with the doctor tomorrow, so we should hopefully be able to hear the heartbeat!
The baby is about the size of a lime now and while the external sexual organs have almost completely formed, we won't be able to fin out the sex until about 18 weeks. The baby's brain is starting to make hormones at this point and it is possible that it can suck it's thumb at this point!
My morning sickness is almost completely gone, which is nice!

11 Weeks
Hello from Prince Edward Island where Baby O (or "Oslo" as the bebe has been dubbed by certain relatives) and I have been vacationing. 11 Weeks and 1 day down! I'm starting to feel much better- VERY slowly- with the morning sickness, which would have been nice the first 3 days of vacation, but I'll take it!
So, this week the baby is between 1.5 and 2.5 inches, and all of it's organs, muscles and brain are functioning. It's legs can kick, but it's still too small to feel! It's also learning to swallowin preparation for feeding!

10 Weeks
We're officially 10 weeks today! This means the baby is now moving inside my uterus, although it's still too tiny to feel. All it's little joints are formed and it weight about the same as 4 paperclips ;-)
Our next appointment with Dr. Stewart in in about a week an a half,so we should be able to hear the heartbeat at that point!

PS Yes, we're aware that a 10 week old baby looks alarmingly like a Sea Monkey ;-)

Fingers
I'm almost done with my 9th week. The fingers are apprently clearly visible at this point! Amazing that just a few short weeks ago it was only the size on a poppyseed!
I'm still getting sick everyday, but the last few days have been significantly better- hopefully a sign that once my first trimester ends, the morning sickness will end too! I'm anxious to get back to the gym (currently the elliptical makes me too nauseated so I've just been walking). They say the better shape you are in, the easier the delivery!

Heartbeat
So last week we had our first doctor's appointment, which went very well. Right now baby O. is about the size of an olive! It's little ears and eyes are forming, as well as it's hand and feet plates! It looks something like this:
We also had our first ultrasound at 8 weeks 4 days. We got to see the baby's heartbeat, which was AMAZING! The radiologist says everything looks great and that the heartbeat is normal at 173!
